October 12, 2018 – (Huntsville, Ala.) – Mick Golson, chief operating officer for Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS), announced the promotion of Jeffrey (Jeff) Huber to Vice President of Operations for the company’s Huntsville office. A retired U.S. Army pilot with over 24 years of aviation leadership, Huber joined ECS in 2017 as Director of Operations. He leads a talented team that supports military and government clients with a strong focus on aviation and aerospace, providing global training products and services including engineering services, software development, 3D visualization, augmented reality/virtual reality, advanced learning technologies and subject matter expertise.
Golson said: “Jeff’s extensive knowledge as an aviation subject-matter expert and master aviator, coupled with his military service background, make him an excellent leader and visionary for our Huntsville team, as we develop additional capabilities in the aerospace and aviation sectors.”
Huber is a subject-matter expert (SME) on the CH-47D/F Chinook, and has served over 16 years as a CH-47 D/F Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP). After 31 years of military service, he retired from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) where he served as a Maintenance Examiner, Instructor Pilot, Instrument Examiner, Battalion quality assurance officer and Brigade Standardization Instructor Pilot/Government Flight Representative. He blends his technical expertise with his risk management background to analyze clients’ needs, and to incorporate those needs into successful training services and relevant technology products.
Huber holds a bachelor’s degree in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and throughout his career took numerous courses related to leadership, training and flight certifications.
